Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is best known for her lead roles in numerous television shows, but also her impressive performances in film. She has a large following both on American and Canadian television. Emily was first interested in acting when she watched her sister Katie performing in a film. Once she had discovered that acting was a interest, she started to learn how to act and attend auditions. She started out with a small amount of advertisements and then was cast in Are You afraid of the Dark the Canadian horror film for children. The only scene that she was in was one with no sound. When she was fifteen, Emily made her big breakthrough after she was made regular on the WB TV series Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after nine episodes Emily's performance was noticed by Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who cast her in his television show Everwood. Emily is an artist and ballerina, was praised by Teen magazine as one the most talented actresses under the age of 20. Maxim ranked her 51st in its Hot 100 of 2014.
