Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American dancer, actress and vocalist since the mid 1990s. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway performances, she starred her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in an Play. Tony Award-winning actor Annaleigh Ashford has spent the majority of her time working with some of the most acclaimed directors and actors across the stage, film and TV and she will continue that work with several upcoming projects. Ashford is scheduled to be starring opposite Kumail Nanjiani as part of the Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust alongside Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. The film will stream on Disney's DTC platforms, as well as Hulu Original. Ashford will be seen opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for the upcoming March 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheims Sweeney Todd. Her two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive was her first major character. It was produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. It featured Linda lavin as well as Hector Elizondo as well as Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her performance as Essie on You Can't Take It with You won her the Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards.
