Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's top well-known actors. Her fame is as a strong actress that are also fragile. As a teenager, she spent her time at the house of her father, she developed an interest in theater. After studying in Brown University for a while before transferring to Juilliard School to study acting. After graduating at Brown University she started her Broadway debut in the following year. After two years of this, her first feature film was released and the next year her TV debut. Over the past few years she has appeared in a variety of films, television productions and stage plays. She has been awarded numerous prizes in her long career. These include the four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. The actress has received nominations for five Tony Awards as well as three Oscar Award nominations. But, in spite of her distinctions and awards, theatre is still her passion and she is determined to play on stage and screen.
